Traditionally, after camp meeting a group of people(up to 20)from the church get together on a charter boat and go deep sea fishing(off the coast of Homer). Bro. Glover (District Secretary) asked me if I wanted to go. I laughed and said sarcastically, "Yeah, that sounds fun!" He said, "No, I'm serious. Do you want to go? I think you'd really enjoy it!" =) I thought, "Why not?! I might as well make the most out of this trip!" So, I went.
To make a long story short, I had a blast! It was a lot harder work than I had imagined, but it was fun! I caught 10 halibut, 4 of them were "keepers". We had a limit of 2, but since some people were sea-sick we were able to catch their fish for them. ;)
...We will definitely enjoy the Halibut here in the Powell home...
*As a side note, the women definitely kept up with, if not out-fished the men. It was great!!!...hehe*
Here's a slideshow of our fishing day...Enjoy! =)
